ABOUT ME

Welcome!
I love capturing light and moments.
I truly believe in the power of a photo to inspire, educate, and build awareness. I am a volunteer photographer at Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) and believe every animal deserves a respectful portrait revealing his or her special personality. My photos are used for online pet profiles and social media posts. They have appeared in NPR.org articles and in award-winning advertisements. If you are in Richmond, you might see them on a billboard campaign promoting RACC! I was a contributing photographer to the book 101 Pit Bulls, Volume II by Kelly Blanchard.
I launched Rescues in Richmond - a limited-edition fundraising book featuring nearly 170 rescue pets living their best lives in Richmond - and sold out in early 2022! The book raised $7K for RACC Foundation! Volume II is in the works now!
I am a proud member of HeARTs Speak, a tremendous nonprofit dedicated to using art to raise awareness for homeless pets.
I was honored to have one of my images selected as a "Top 25" in the "Pets and Their People" Category in 2019 and “Top 100” in the “Portrait” Category in the 2022 in the International Pet Photographer of the Year contest!
In addition to photography and work as a lawyer representing healthcare providers, I love the crisp air of fall, Canada (my home country), Richmond (my too-hot adopted home), sunshine, being on or near water, and spending time with my (very patient) husband and our house full of rescue animals.
I'd love to hear from you!
